4th May 2023A few weeks ago we announced that Lanercost Cricket Club were playing host for our first ever Junior Masterclass with former England international Lydia Greenway to celebrate the first round of the Voneus Village Cup, and to recognise the part this club plays in bringing the community together.
It was an incredible day. 39 junior members from Lanercost along with their friends and family came to the ground to get involved. We even had the grace of the weather to see the morning through.
It was great to see the story play out on ITV Borders the same evening heralding the success of the day, but more importantly for them to highlight how vital it is to nurture young talent to ensure clubs like Lanercost continue to thrive.
